The Amazon Prime Day deals on the following top-rated brands may help you find what you’re seeking without rendering you unable to afford yoga classes.

Manduka
The durable and densely cushioned mats from Manduka are the crush of many, many longtime yoga teachers. That’s due, in part, because of the lifetime guarantee, the ease with which they wipe down, and the grip that’s slip-proof in all but the sweatiest of classes. (Hot yoga goers, take note, Manduka Yogitoes towels in 17 different sassy designs are also featured in the Amazon Prime Day deals. They start at $49 for a savings of 15 to 25 percent, depending on the style.)

Manduka Pro for $98 ($138)
The cushiest and weightiest Manduka mat, the Pro proffers a luxe 6mm thickness that supports tricky knees during vinyasa and isn’t uncomfortable during yin and restorative practices. However, its heft doesn’t feel so glam if you’re lugging it as you walk several city blocks to the studio. Some colors are currently priced at $99 for a savings of 28 percent. Others are priced at $108.
Gaiam
The mats from longtime mat manufacturer Gaiam were the unanimous fave of our testers who were newbies to yoga. They’re also undeniably the most affordable. The array of options from the brand can be rather disorienting, although the ones that follow are what our testers lauded for their cushy comfort, ample patters, and disarmingly low cost.
Gaiam Print Yoga Mat 5mm for $19 ($27)
This was our testers’ preferred Gaiam mat. Its foam-like material is cushiony, only slightly slippery, and a far more respectable option than what’s marketed by other brands in its price range. It will wear rather quickly, although it’s more than adequate if you’re relatively new to yoga or practice only occasionally. Different designs are discounted different amounts.
Gaiam Premium 6mm Print Reversible for $27 ($35)
Slightly cushier than the 5mm, this reversible yoga mat is more comfortable during yin and restorative poses and makes quite the fashion statement. Just don’t let it distract you during your practice. Select patterns are on sale for anywhere from 15 to 50 percent off the full price.
Gaiam Kids’ Yoga Mat for $17 ($22)
This kid’s mat is almost identical as the above options but with a 3mm thickness—and a dozen charming prints from birds to ballerinas, rocket ships to sharks. We’re not exactly dazzled by the savings on the Amazon Prime Day deal, although stash those dollars in a savings account for your child and the return will compound over time, just as with yoga.
